Our chefs

Hans
Our Mr reliable… he is a safe pair of Hans! He’s catered in hotels, chalets, lodges and events all over the world. His most recent escapades have taken him to the far flung arctic circle of Norway, the mountains of Sweden and the crowd pleasing French Alps. He’s a solid pair of hands behind your holiday and he’ll ensure you never leave the dining room hungry. He also absolutely loves snowboarding, so spark up a conversation about the local pistes and he’ll love it!

Alejandro (Alex)
Alex spends his summers working at a number of high-end restaurants and prestigious events up and down the UK, France and Spain. These events include weddings and private parties, producing elegant and classy dishes on a large scale, catering for high profile guests. He has cooked up everything from gourmet cuisine and fine dining menus, to interesting and quirky starters and indulgent puddings.

Carolina
Carolina has 10 years experience of cooking thanks to working in her grandmothers restaurant from an early ages. She loves being creative and making fresh food like pasta and tiramisu, a perfect combination! In the recent years elevated her style of cooking to fine dining, having been employed at a villa in Majorca where she presented a 5 course tasting menu for breakfast! We are very excited to see what delicious meals she plays around with for you.

Panagiotis (Panos)
An experienced chef in high-end chalets and 4*hotels. Panos generally gravitates towards alpine excursions for the winter months and absolutely loves Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alps having done seasons here before. He generally lives in Romania with his girlfriend and rabbit, where he started a Greek Restaurant. He loves an impromptu barbecue and will happily to chat to all guests about anything and everything!

Sandrine
Our local go to! Having operated and run chalets and Chambres d’Hôtes across the Oisans area, she knows where to get the best produce and who to call on for local delicacies. Sandrine and family live in Bourg d’Oisans. She is a shepherdess during the summer months roaming the mountain with her herd. She loves cooking French cuisine, but also very happy to please our international clients, with what she thinks might tickle their taste buds. Her favourite thing to cook? It starts with Crème and ends in Brûlée.

Luke
Luke first started working with us back in 2016 when we ran catered chalets. Since then he’s done winter seasons in St Anton and Saint Foy. During the summer months he hits the high seas and cooks up on super yachts. His passion is snowboarding though and he now loves travelling around the Alps working for The Chalet Chef wherever he’s requested.

Marouane
A Bordelaise man through and through and keen traveller, to wherever he is needed. He has worked across the Alps, the Basque country and the Mediterranean, learning the local styles of cooking and pairings as he goes. He prefers to cook gourmet meals so he can show off his talent with curious and exciting additions to the menu.

Andy
Andy has been doing seasons for the passed 25 years. He is British but has residency in France as he’s lived in he Alps for long enough. He is based out of Saint Gervais during the winter and is our ‘Roaming Chef,’ going here there and everywhere he is needed. His summer months he spends in Padstow, Cornwall – a well known spot for fantastic food and produce!

Nynke
Loves cooking and all things food. Don’t be fooled by her youthful looks, her cooking is meticulously planned out and well thought through. Incredibly well versed at multi-tasking and well measured in what wines pair with the food she cooks. Prepare for an inspiring moment if you are lucky enough to try her dish with burnt capers

Helen
Another local guru who has stepped in to kitchens for us at a drop of a hat. She spent years in the yachting world at the helm of all things below deck! A wonderful blend of international dishes, English classics and Haute Savoir meals to rustle up. Family cooking at it’s best but also delicate and delicious.
