The Chalet Chef is your ticket to holiday dinner freedom

We LOVE food and we love the idea of a catered chalet but the number of these available has dwindled over the years…

We’re stepping up to the plate and stepping into your kitchen, knives at the ready; let’s turn up the gas and cook up a storm!


You choose the time, you choose the place, you choose the menu and we’ll bring the chef


Prices are listed per person per night, based on 10 or more people, for 5 nights catering. For smaller groups and less nights please enquire for pricing.

*Menus are indicative and everyone eats the same meal (there is no choice each night). Our offering includes half a bottle of wine per person. If you have specific requests or meal preferences please let us know!

Kids menu @ €29

We offer a simple kids dinner, served around 17:30/18:00 and will comprise of dishes such as:

  • Main: Chicken pie & greens, quesadillas, macaroni cheese, Lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise, pasta bake, meat & two vegetables (such as fish goujons/sausages/chicken/burgers with potatoes/rice/French fries and broccoli/carrots/peas/beans)
  • Dessert: Ice cream, brownies, banana split, rice pudding, apple crumble, fruit salad, clafoutis, chocolate rice crispy cakes, rocky road, flap jacks

BREAKFAST OPTIONS

Provisions @ €10.50

To make your holiday even more carefree and blissful, we can provide provisions for breakfast and afternoon tea every morning, ensuring you have enough fuel in your belly for the days activities, consisting of:

  • Croissants, pain au chocolates, bread, butter, jam, cheese, ham, cereal, milk, juice, Greek yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, afternoon tea (shop bought)

Service @ €19.00

If you want to completely take the weight off your shoulders, then let us provide you with a complete half board service. This entails the chef coming in to your chalet in the morning to lay the table with all the ‘breakfast provisions’ above.

They will then provide a daily ‘chef special’ and offer eggs in your desired way. After all is said and done, you can head out into the mountains, leaving them to clear and wash up. Easy peasy!

*Service limited to a one hour timeframe to be confirmed with chef (normally 08:00 – 09:00)

Shopping, cooking and the whole process of conjuring up the daily dinner conundrum, can be put to bed. This is one stress you could do without when on holiday, are we right? Born out of frustration that the catered chalet business collapsed and being let down ourselves whilst on holiday, The Chalet Chef was created! We want to remove this time consuming task for holidaymakers and let you focus on enjoying yourself.

We’ll provide all things dinner, so just sit back and soak up the ambience.

Hiring an expert chef can be as indulgent as it can be affordable! We can help make your self-catered chalet holiday, a true holiday for everyone.

We offer our services to those in Vaujany, Oz 3300 and Villard-Reculas, located at the same mountains as Alpe d’Huez in the Oisans valley (also Les Deux Alps), of the southern French Alps.

However, there has been so much demand and growth, we are now able to offer services to those in other resorts of the Alps, thanks to our roaming chefs (there is a small ‘location surcharge‘). So please enquire wherever your holiday may be taking place and we will see what we can do!
